Aaron had the opportunity to go on the Third Grade fieldtrip to the Bronx Zoo this year. It was a lot of fun. I was able to chaperone on the trip. Above is the group we had with us.

Aaron's buddies, Matt and Nick. Can you see the baby giraffe in the background?
The reptile house was a hit. Here's a few shots of some of the interesting things we saw.
This is a snake-like turtle. I had never seen anything like it before. It was so interesting to see this long snake-like head slithering about in the water. It really looked out of place with the shell.
This is a building that is located in the central area of the zoo. I thought it was neat looking.
Here is the baby rhino. Sorry it's a terrible shot but we were on a monorail and this was the best I could get. It was so so cute.
Here's Aaron with his buddy, Sam. They also played on the same baseball team this spring and it was nice for Aaron to have a friend from school.

Sorry, I guess I am blind but even zooming in on the camouflaged reptile I couldn't find it. He's pretty darn good at hiding. I went to the zoo with the kids on their field trips in elementary school and really enjoyed it. Now, zoos don't really do it for me. We went to the Omaha zoo and I found it mildly entertaining but I'd rather watch a great movie!!
