Baseball season is over...

Believe it or not, but this was actually our first time ever having our boys participate with a team sport. We had a great time practicing and playing and hope that the boys will be interested in the future.

Aaron had a good experience with his baseball team. There were some great boys on his team and other than getting hit by one too many pitches, he really seemed to enjoy playing. Mike was able to help out as an assistant coach and it was great to have dad involved. Their record was 7-5. We're really proud of Aaron for being eager to play and for having a good attitude about playing. Way to go Aaron!

The silly picture...

Here's Connor with his T-ball team. Connor bumped into lots of his preschool and kindergarten friends at the games. It was always fun to see familiar faces having a good time. The last few games, the coaches started pitching to the boys and they did really well with this. They just kept pitching until the boys would get a hit and all the boys got to run the bases.

The Bronx Zoo

Aaron had the opportunity to go on the Third Grade fieldtrip to the Bronx Zoo this year. It was a lot of fun. I was able to chaperone on the trip. Above is the group we had with us.
Aaron's buddies, Matt and Nick. Can you see the baby giraffe in the background?

The reptile house was a hit. Here's a few shots of some of the interesting things we saw.

This is a snake-like turtle. I had never seen anything like it before. It was so interesting to see this long snake-like head slithering about in the water. It really looked out of place with the shell.

This is a building that is located in the central area of the zoo. I thought it was neat looking.

Here is the baby rhino. Sorry it's a terrible shot but we were on a monorail and this was the best I could get. It was so so cute.
Here's Aaron with his buddy, Sam. They also played on the same baseball team this spring and it was nice for Aaron to have a friend from school.
Can you see the camouflaged reptile in this picture? You may have to zoom in.

Our baby is 2 years old!

Yes, this happened May 26th....a little late with this post but here's our little Aubrey and her pink birthday cake!

Love thy neighbor...

Aubrey absolutely, positively adores our little neighbor Jonathon. He lives across the street and anytime we go in and out of the house, she's always looking to see if Jonathon is around. She's always talking about him, his house, his bus, or his Cookie Monster shoes. It's so sad to be moving Aubrey away from her first crush.

Maid of the Mist AND Cave of Winds

Maid of the Mist is the ferry boat that takes you near both the American and Niagra Falls. It was windy, wet, and at moments frightening at least I thought so. When we were viewing Niagra, it seems like we kept moving closer and closer. It was pretty spectacular!

Here we are getting our ponchos on.
Aubrey looking so cute in blue.
Aaron totally loving it...Connor, not so much.

Here is the platform that you have to cross to get to the elevators that take you down to be loaded on to the Maid of the Mist.
Connor slightly ticked. Gotta love camping hair.

Ponchos round two. The Cave of Winds, is basically a boardwalk that takes you right next to the American Falls. Mike and Aaron chose to get pounded on by the water up on the higher levels of the boardwalk. I stayed below and got some great pictures. I was pretty disappointed that there wasn't actually a cave. Pretty deceptive if you ask me.

Mike came down with his poncho ripped to pieces and Aaron was thrilled by it all!
