Friday Fun! Ole!

Connor performed with his EL3 class at an assembly last Friday. He always has so much fun dancing and performing with his class. They did the Mexican Hat dance, the Hokey Pokey, and then they recited Mary Had a Little Lamb. They also did a Brazilian dance with the EL4 class. I wish we could upload the videos but we'll have to save them for the boys' 2007 movies.

A field trip to Kasteel Hoensbroek

Aaron and I had a really great time on the 1st grade field trip to Kasteel Hoensbroek in the Netherlands. It was just over an hour bus ride from the school to the castle.

The children dressed in costume and went on a tour through the castle. There was much to explore and the kids had a great time checking everything out. Aaron said his favorite thing about the castle was the secret room and climbing up the tower. After touring the castle, the children ate lunch and played several medieval games.

A Long Weekend in London

We had such a great time visiting London last weekend. The highlights included exploring the Natural Science Museum, seeing The Lion King and Mary Poppins, visiting the Tower of London, watching the changing of the guards at Buckingham Palace, walking around Kensington Gardens and playing at the Princess Diana's Memorial Playground (Peter Pan theme with pirate ship and all), taking a flight on the London Eye, seeing the House of Parliment and Westminster Abbey, riding on the Big Bus, enjoying a boat ride along the Thames river and traveling on the London Underground. Connor joined a street magician's act and Aaron enjoyed giving coins to the live statues near the London Eye. We had a great time visiting friends that live outside London and overall we had a really great trip!
